NEW RANGE RULES:

New range rules will be enacted for 2012 due to the fact that the electrical power lines have been shot down 4 times in the last 18 months.  This not only causes hardship for us but our neighbors as well.  As most of you know, Ethel's Coral Cafe is directly to our east and every time the line is cut they not only lose power but business as well.  In an effort to prevent further outages, targets MUST now be placed within 10' of the backstop.  In no event shall a target be placed on the ground in the center of the firing range. This type of target placement is the cause of the ricochets that have cut the power lines.  Everyone needs to take a moment and think about safety down range.  If this continues through 2012, the range will be closed to everyone except legal members of the club.  Do your part in keeping the range open for all law enforcement to enjoy.  Be safe and have a happy 2012!

IF YOU WANT TO PAY YOUR DUES AND RECEIVE A KEY TO THE RANGE YOU MUST COME TO THE 420 CLUB, WITH YOUR DEPARTMENT ID, ON FRIDAY MORNINGS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM AND 10AM OR COME TO THE SQUAD FEEDS ON THE SECOND WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH.  THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTLY NO SELLING OF KEYS AT THE BAKERSFIELD CHP OFFICE SO PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!

The locks were changed at the 420 Club on January 3rd 2012.  Membership dues are due at that time.  The dues are $25 for members that include active and retired CHP from the Bakersfield Office only.  Other CHP areas will be $50.  Allied agencies; retired law enforcment fee will be $25 and active law enforcement fee is $100.
