Booking Rules


Booking the club on-line requires that you select an available date and make a $300 deposit to reserve that date at https://squareup.com/market/the-420-club.   Please provide the date you will need to reserve in the notes section. You may also book or reserve the club in person on friday mornings from 8 am to 10 am at 3910 Alfred Harrell Highway Bakersfield, Ca 93308.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1.       Inside the Hall; Do not staple, nail, or tack anything to the walls or woodwork.  Only fire retardant materials, masking tape, and scotch tape may be used on walls.

2.       No open Flame Candles; Open flame candles are strictly prohibited.

3.       Outside the Hall; For outside decorating questions please contact a Hall Member.

4.       No Confetti; No confetti, rice, birdseed, or similar substance is permitted.

5.       Alcohol; Alcohol will be limited to a Champagne fountain, bottled Champagne for a toast, wine, and keg or caned beer.  No bottled beer or glass containers are permitted in or outside the facility.  Beer keg must be placed inside portable insulated tubs.

6.       Governmental Permits; The Contracting Party may be required to secure an alcohol license from the County of Kern and the Alcohol Control Board.  The Contracting Party is advised to contact such governmental agencies.

7.       Security; If alcohol is served or the event involves a Quinceañera, the contracting party is required to secure the security services contracted by The 420 Club.  Security will be required to be present until everyone vacates the facility.  If at any time and/or contracted security services determines that additional guards are necessary to maintain order, additional guards may be called and the extra cost will be charged to the Contracting Party.  The event may be shut down if police are called to the event or should the security guards deem it necessary.

8.       Key; The Contracting Party will be given one (1) key to the facility.  Such key should be returned to the 420 Club on the Friday following the event.

9.       Indoor Music; All indoor music shall stop at 11:30 P.M.

10.   Outdoor Music; Music played outdoors, whether live or recorded must stop at 10:30 P.M.

11.   Lights and Air Conditioners: The Contracting Party shall turn off all lights and air conditioners upon leaving the facility.

12.   Vacate the Facility by 1:30 A.M.; The Contracting Party and all guests must vacate the facility by 1:30 A.M.

13.   Forfeit of Deposit: Failure to abide by any of these conditions may lead to the forfeit of your deposit.  The Contracting Parties deposit shall be completely surrendered upon discovery of any graffiti or vandalism.  The Contracting Party agrees to pay The 420 Club any additional costs resulting from Contracting Party’s failure to abide by the terms and conditions of this agreement.

14.   Return of Deposit; The Contracting Party’s deposit, if any, shall be returned via U.S. Postal Service within seven (7) business days after the event of as California law provides.   

15.   Range; No firearms or weapons allowed.  The 420 Club has a gun/rifle range on its premises; however, its use is not included in the hall rental agreement.  The renter and their guest must remain out of the range area and off the dirt embankments.  Children and guests must refrain from throwing rocks or other objects onto the grass area.

Insurance; The 420 Club will not and does not cover any property or items that are not the 420 Club’s personal property, nor any liability to the renter or persons present at the Contracting Party’s event should injury or death occur.  “One Day Event” insurance may be obtained through several insurance companies including WM K. Lyons Insurance located at 2100 F Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301 (661) 327-9731.  Homeowners: consult your own insurance company.

INDEMNITY

 

THE CONTRACTING PARTY HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROLMAN’S CLUB OF KERN COUNTY, ITS MEMBERS, AGENTS, MANAGERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, ATTORNEYS, AND REPRESENTATIVES HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS, ACTIONS, SUITS, PROCEEDINGS, JUDGMENTS, COSTS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, PENALTIES OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS’ AND CONSULTANTS’ FEES SUFFERED BY THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROLMAN’S CLUB OF KERN COUNTY, ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, MANAGERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, ATTORNEYS, AND REPRESENTATIVES BY REASON OF ANYTHING WHICH THE CONTRACTING PARTY MAY DO OR REFRAIN FROM DOING HEREAFTER AS A RESULT OF ENTERING INTO THIS AGREEMENT OR RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE FACILITIES RENTED AND USED BY THE CONTRACTING PARTY PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT.

RANGE INFO: 
The range keys are replaced in January every year. In order to purchase your new key, you must come by the club on Friday mornings from 8am - 10am. The range keys are strictly for MEMBERS ONLY! (Current 420 officers and 420 retirees)  Retirees, you MUST bring your retiree ID in order to purchase a key. 

Note: The range is closed to all members every Sunday for cleaning, no exceptions.  If you're caught at the range on a Sunday, your membership may be revoked.
